Mom/Daughter Time

I have tried making it a point to get some mom/daughter time, we call them dates, with each of the girls. They are each different and like different things, and yes of course they have several of the same interests and we use those for our family times out.

Up first was a pedicure date with Makaylah. Out of the little two, well current little two lol, she is more girly girl and loves this stuff! She actually wants to a pedicure/manicure appointment for her upcoming birthday day with me.

Arianna was next and loves frozen yogurt, so we went to Menchies and enjoyed a little talking over frozen deliciousness.

Sonya’s was a little more unique this month. She has been wanting a tattoo, the OM, and I finally took her to get it. Pretty pleased with the tattoo she picked and we were both happy with how it turned out.

We started September off taking advantage of both of us being off on Labor Day, and took the girls to Great Skate, enjoyed pizza, the little two skated, and dad and the girls enjoyed some games before we left. Our oldest went to the session after with some of her friends. See…do what you can now before they want to spend time with other people.

It doesn’t have to cost a lot, it doesn’t have to be every weekend, but I do feel that time alone with you little helps them be more open with talking to you, and they feel special. Make the most of the time you can.

Thank you for reading about our crazy adventures!

Wednesday Fun Leads to More

The past few summers I have missed taking the girls to the Wednesday fun nights at WestGate, this year I was able to take them to two and am hoping I can take them even more next year.

The first night we went it was IronMan and Spiderman there. If we had a receipt from WichWich for $10+ then we didn’t have to stand in a line for pictures. I got there later than I wanted and thought for sure there would still be a line, even on the receipt side, but there was not. And boy was I glad after seeing the actual line, we might have been there all night! Ok, well at least until the end of all the other festivities.

Makaylah won a free two pack of donuts from Fractured Prune, they are delicious if you have not gone, you must! they make the donut right when you order it. You get to choose the toppings, glaze, drizzle etc. We ended up going on the weekend, but the girls were happy to get more time out of the house.

We went the following Wednesday and saw Princess Elena. The girls had fun dancing and we enjoyed Shane’s Ribs (no pictures but it was good BBQ).  They have something going on from the time it starts till it ends. We saw a dance performance from a local dance school, the girls got to do a few activities up on stage, etc. Definitely hoping to take the girls a few more times next year. Blessed to work at a company that has a good life/work balance.

Remember, before we know it the time we have now with our kids will be gone, make the most of it! It can be done around work, sure you are tired, but this time with them means the world to them.

Thanks for catching up on our crazy adventures.

Graduation Party, Tucson Trip, Baby Girl, and More!

Phew, I feel like I fall behind on posting what we are up to, and then when I post three is so much to catch up on! The craziness we call life never ends right?!

So first up was a graduation party that we went to as a family. I can’t believe how fast time has flown. the girls got to enjoy some pool time, and then my oldest decided she didn’t really want to be captured on photo, lol. We had some great food, great laughs, and were very appreciative to have been included in this special occasion.

Pool party

I had originally opted to not do any testing, and then at another appointment decided to go ahead and do testing and add the gender test. We are having our fourth girl! So crazy, but we make some beautiful girls so one more is just fine. ❤

It's a girl

We took a trip to Tucson to visit my uncle’s family and my sister came over too! It was great to see her. And I don’t know what happened, but I severely lacked in the picture department while there. However, my youngest had my oldest take a picture of her at the rest stop on the way back, because she knows I love pictures! Lol

Tucson

The girls get to dress up on Fridays. I think they are two of the only ones to be consistent with it, but they look forward to each new week. First they Alohaed into Summer, then the Pirates took on the Caribbean, and then Superheroes took on Villians!

I am now 15 weeks, well almost 16 weeks, along with this little girl. We haven’t settled on a name yet, but there are are a few in the works.

15 weeks

I tried chicken and waffles a while ago, probably like a few years ago, with a friend. However, it was said that we have got to try LoLo’s, so I finally did! I have to admit, it was much better than the first try somewhere else. Their cornbread was great too, however the actual corn kernels threw me off a little.

I took the girls out to frozen yogurt since we weren’t able to make the last food truck event. They were happy to be inside where it was nice and cool with a nice cool treat!

I ordered TruVision rePlace shakes. They come packed with 20 grams of protein and so many other nutrients your body needs. I also got some Heart and Hydration. With this heat sucking everything out of a person I want to stay hydrated but make sure my other levels are good as well. Best part, it’s better than a sports drink, less the sugar and calories! I plan to have the rePlace at night after working out, or as a snack if I am feeling extra hungry during the day.

To help celebrate a friends birthday, we went and had lunch, and then we got pedicures. It was nice. And it was a reminder to myself that we need to treat ourselves like that, more than just once or twice a year.

pedicure with the ladies

I have to say I love Walmart Grocery ordering, and picking up and done. It has been saving me so much time! Now normally I would have a separate post about meal prepping with recipes, but I didn’t save the links. So I will share some of what I did and next time I will be sure to have links.

For breakfasts this week we are having paleo chocolate waffles, pumkin pancakes and muffins. I threw some mini chocolate chips in the muffins and waffles. I make some scrambled eggs in the morning and cut up some fruit and done.

For lunches this week, I have BLT salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing, and chicken egg roll in a bowl.

For dinners, I prepped a few veggies packs (carrots, red potatoes, and cabbage) to go with some corned beef we had in the freezer. *Hint, when packing something to go in the crock pot, put what you want on top, in the bag first* I also cut up some chicken breast into smaller pieces to make crispy chicken tenders. I am using up some other items we have in the freezer like a roast and other veggies, and then I got some spaghetti and garlic bread for a couple easy dinners, one this week and one next.

The tenders didn’t come out how I was hoping in our Airfyer, so I will try it a little different net time. the fries I am always happy with how they turn out. nice and crispy.

This week we started off with a Kona Ice truck coming to work! It was a great cool down treat for a week of high temps!

If you live in the Phoenix area, or another area were there are high temps (triple digits yikes) stay well hydrated! thank you for checking in our craziness. Enjoy life, be kind, show love!

Belle, Minivan, and Laughlin Oh My!

Oh my goodness, how much can change and happen in a short time. To start, I had a fun pain with Belle and the girls at our local pottery place, As You Wish. They absolutely loved seeing Belle. I still need to pick up their pottery, oops.

Belle

Our oldest daughter, almost 17, went to prom with a few friends. She is just absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to see where her road leads her, and at the same time I cannot believe she is almost 17!

Prom

So, with the news of our growing family, we decided we needed to get a bigger vehicle. We started off, well my husband, wanting an SUV. He made an appointment to look at one he found online within the price we felt we could afford. When we got there, we were told that they actually sold the suburban (go big or go home right, ha) and that he was looking to see what else they had that would be close to our price range. After looking around at different vehicles, we opened up the range to minivans. Yes that’s right, we are now a minivan family. Something at one point in my life I insisted I would never drive, but somewhere along the way it just felt right and fits our family. I actually like driving it.

Van

All of this and yet we still have more to share! We went to Laughlin for the 2017 River Run with our riding club. I love those people. I did ride with my husband almost all the way there, then switched into the truck. We stayed on the 15th floor had a great view of the river.

15th floor

Our first night there, husband found a onsie he just had to buy for the baby! I will just say I cannot believe this is the first piece of clothing bought for the baby lol.

First onsie

We saw so many awesome bikes, but with my morning sickness, I was focused on not getting sick instead of getting more pictures. But I did get a few. This one is my favorite. If I remember correctly, this was only $40,000. Pocket change right?

flame bike

We enjoyed the buffet twice while there. The first night (actually our second night in Laughlin) was seafood night. I did not partake of the seafood but I had some other delicious items. Of course I thought I would hit the dessert part and it was all pretty tasty.

Dessert

I wish I had gotten a picture of the homemade onion rings I had there as well. they were so good, but there were sooooooo many I wasn’t able to eat more than 1/4 of it, but I tried, lol. We ended our trip by hitting the buffet again for breakfast. So many options, and my eyes were bigger than my stomach, but it was soooo good.

Breakfast

Oh my goodness…so much to update at once, and now you see why I say Our Crazy Life 24/7! There is always something. not to mention there were a few soccer games in between this all as well. 🙂

The only thing I wish I had changed, was giving myself one more PTO day off after coming back from Laughlin, but I do enjoy who I work with, so it wasn’t horrible lol.

Thanks for joining our adventures. ❤
