Craft Time!

Last month I actually did something just for me, not a date out friends, not a date with the hubby, not a date with the girls, just me. I don’t it that often, and the biggest reason is because I don’t like doing things by myself, lol. But I have to admit this was fun. I enjoyed conversation with the people around me.

This is even something I am thinking about getting into, this can be done as a business!

Back to the fun though, we made a hello fall sign. Everything you needs comes in a kit, minus hot glue and scissors etc.

Craft night

When you attend one of these nights, there is someone there to direct you each step of the way, like a paint night. I have seen these signs before but was intimidated to even try doing it on my own, but after doing one, I am hooked!

For the letters, which is what always intimidated me, we used transfer paper before doing the final dark color. The paper takes a little work to make sure it comes off and transfers correctly, but once you have the hang of it, it’s just a matter of not rushing.

While I was there I saw the back to school chalk board signs and had to get it, front and back!

My oldest is not so much a picture fan anymore….I will get her yet though lol.

There is one for babies that I am going to get the next craft night I go to.

Thank you for reading about our crazy adventures.

Water – Tucson Trip – 60th Birthday

I am so blessed to have found a group of people that do things through the year for the community around us, focus on military/vets/homeless vets. One of the friends of the club works with homeless vets, and it’s a very hot time of year for us right now so they collect water to hand out. Our shop came through in such a big way, it makes my heart happy to know these people, and help their causes.

We went back to Tucson to visit my mom for her 60th birthday, and my sister and her family came over as well. This time I did get some pictures, but I still missed one of my nephews! Next time I will get everyone! Our youngest nephew, pictured below, is just now about 4 months, he is so cute!

One of the things my mom loves, is being crafty/artsy, so she likes to try and plan something to do with the kids when they go. Wish such a range of ages, it’s hard sometimes to get something that everyone will enjoy, but the girls have always seemed to love what she has for them. This time, it was painting using a toilet paper flower, I am not sure how else to explain it and of course I didn’t get a picture of them. After the girls were done using that, they used paint brushes, colored pens, markers to finish their work of Art.

We just enjoyed a fast lunch of pizza, gets hard traveling and making something etc. The kids were pretty pleased. 🙂 My sister made an amazing black forest cake, can’t wait to see that recipe! My mom enjoyed some gifts and bright flowers.

It was a great weekend with awesome friends/family. Love those kind of weekends. I guess now I have to start getting my next couple weeks worth of  meals planned and get my shopping list done. Trying very hard to stay healthy through the rest of this pregnancy. Of course pizza here and there never hurts. Thank you for catching up with us!

Foodstock, Crafts, and Mother’s Day

My goodness I don’t know where the time goes! We have been having fun staying busy around work and school.

We started last weekend off at Home Depot where there was a make and take activity for the kids, and it was perfect for Mother’s Day! They got to make a flower pot. Their next one is June 3rd, they will be making a tic tac toe game, see if there is one in your area.

Then there was a Foodfest at a local sports park, so many food trucks, so many different types of food. They all smelled amazing. My oldest wanted a horchata and at the same truck they had strawberry and a couple other melon waters, but the strawberry sounded good to me and a great way to get some hydration. The little two are a little more picky so they just got waters.

We started off with face painting, and then the way we walked in was right next to an ice cream truck, and this pregnant mama wanted ice cream, so the girls got spoiled and got to have dessert first. Then we went to the bounce house area, the girls had some fun there but with the sun beating down we didn’t stay too long in that area. Then the hunt for actual lunch food, since we already had dessert, was on! A lot of the trucks offered samples for a cheap price, or some dishes for regular price. We went to 2 Fat Guys Grilled Cheese truck and got a regular grilled cheese for the girls, they use garlic bread! Amazing! I still hadn’t found something that was calling my name so we kept walking and then got to the Pirate Ship Splash Pad and the girls couldn’t wait to cool off so we stayed there for a bit.

While there my oldest noticed that there was a Henna Tattoo place set up, so she got a Henna Tattoo on the side of her neck while we let the little two play.

Finally, hunger kicked in so we got the little two dried off and back on the hunt for food we went. I found this BBQ Pork truck that had pulled pork nachos. OMG! They had baked beans on them, cheese, and topped with pulled BBQ pork, they were amazing! I never EVER would’ve thought about putting baked beans on nachos!

My youngest wasn’t feeling so good on Monday and neither was I so we stayed home and got some rest. We both went to work, her to school, on Tuesday and that night she was running a fever. Poor thing ended up with Bronchitis. So I worked from home Wednesday, so blessed that I can do that, and she came in to work with me Thursday and Friday (since she still had a fever). She was luck and caught a nap both days at work. Gosh it’s hard going to work with mom, all these activities to do, watching NetFlix on her tablet, and napping, lol.

Makaylah at work

Tuesday, I wore my new LulaRoe Outfit that was given to me for an early birthday present by an amazing friend. If you aren’t sure what LulaRoe is, you should check out my friends (different friend) group on Facebook. They are some of the most comfortable clothes I have ever worn, and they aren’t just leggings, there are several top styles, skirts, dresses, even wraps!

Birthday Outfit

This past weekend for a birthday event, I was trying to find a paint night, and someone tagged me in a wine glass event that was going on. I have never painted wine glasses so it was prefect! I didn’t get a picture of everyone’s glasses, but they were all so amazing, we had the same instructions and yet made them our own.

Mother’s Day my husband wanted to take me out, but mornings on weekends we are all very slow so we didn’t make it out for breakfast, but made it out for lunch instead lol. We went to Claim Jumpers and the food was amazing! They even had Mother’s Day coloring mats for the girls, and even my oldest decided she wanted one.

I ended up getting the Tri-Tip Dip sandwich and we ended it with their Chocolate Motherload Cake, wowza!

We sure know how to stay busy and have fun! Please don’t ask to see my house, lol. I hope all you mama’s, dads playing the role of both, grandma’s etc. had a great day yesterday! You deserve it! ❤

I hope you all had a great Easter! Our weekend was a little crazy since we wanted to try and get a photo with the Easter Bunny near our house. The good news is I had a cookie delivery, so the girls were happy about that while we were waiting.

We waited for about 1 hour and 15 minutes and then as we were toward the front, the poor bunny was over heated. He took a break and someone followed after him with some water. Unfortunately we weren’t able to wait until he came back, but my oldest was able to check out a few places she was interested in working at, so it was time well spent together.

Sunday morning the girls woke up to their Easter Baskets.

Then we headed off to service at The Rock Church in Goodyear. Poor Arianna stayed home with a low temp. Makaylah got to enjoy an egg hunt and a few other fun activities they had planned for the kids. She was so sweet and gave over half of her eggs to her sister when we got home. ❤

I helped out in the Afterschock room, so with some help from DLTK Kids, I did The Angel Rolled the Stone Away craft.

I decided to let the kiddos color their angels if they chose or they could keep them white. I love craft time with the kiddos on the Sundays I am back there with them.

We ended the day at home just relaxing, and made a nice and small ham dinner.

I will try to share my upcoming crafts ahead of time for those who might be interested in doing something similar. Thanks for following our crazy! Now go enjoy yours. ❤
