Reaching Out In Your Community

Something I think we all need to do is giving back in our own community. This is something I try to do with my girls.  At Thanksgiving this last year, we made up dinner plates to go hand out to the homeless.

In January, we made laundry detergent bags for the families that stay at the Ronald McDonald House. They aren’t ask to pay much for their room and board, but they are going to be dealing with medical bills, food costs, transportation, etc. So laundry bags help them get their laundry done, by providing enough detergent and a fabric sheet for one load.

We also went with a group of other people to hand out food and blankets to the homeless.

This group meets twice a month, and I plan on making it to at least one of those events.

There are so many things you can do, from your own home with your kids, to getting out and helping those on the street.

So know that when you purchase from me as a customer, or join my team, this is how I am spending part of our time. Giving back to those around us, in our neighborhood.
